The issue begins with Sultar igniting portions of the City of Liam, burning those loyal to him, alive and without mercy. Inside Tarrus One-Eyed’s domain, he plunges his dagger deep into the girl’s chest and rips out her heart, chanting the words of magic.

Shadolok, Delia, and Bladehelm fight their way through Tarrus’ men, cleaving and slaying any who stand in their way, in a mad rush to try and stop Tarrus before it’s too late. Sultar appears, challenging Tarrus One-Eyed, but Tarrus recognizes him for who and what he is – and is able to stop Sultar’s fiery attack and turn it back on Sultar. A demon by the name of Uruthoth steps out of the dimensional portal that is opened. Tarrus strikes a deal with the demon, so that it will serve for mortal flesh. Shadolok fires an arrow that knocks Tarrus into Uruthoth, who quickly grabs Tarrus and pulls him into the realm, promising to spend years devouring his flesh.

Without Tarrus’ magic, his abode begins to crumble and fall apart, faster and faster as the seconds go by. Barely escaping the crumbling castle, Shadolok assesses the situation and decides that the wounded need to be brought to the Temple of Vesta, since they swear an oath of non violence and would even help the likes of Coron. At the Temple of Vesta, a priestess asks what has happened to the Keys; she offers to destroy them for a thousand gold a piece. The Adventurers hand over the Keys knowing they will be destroyed, rather than used for evil.

Coron returns to the Temple of Accuris in the City of Ur, and he punished for his failure.
