The issue begins with Coron walking in the City of Ur; a city described as a place where unwilling participants are hunted by the dark robed priests of Accuris, the God of Destruction. But Coron is without fear here, for he is one of those priests.

The Temple of Accuris in the City of Ur is one of the largest, and its vile reputation is rightfully deserved, as human sacrifices are a large part of the rituals within its walls. Coron meets with the High Priest of Accuris. The High Priest tells Coron to go on the next quest for the keys, and when Coron asks why he must travel with such infidels, the High Priest explains that Tarrus One-Eyed seeks the Keys of Telku, which would open the Realm of Chaos – and that the allies of the Temple of Accuris, at the Temple of Baal, have one of the keys – and that they would trade it for free passage through the pass of Liam, to march their armies.

The scene shifts to Argent and Erikor who are researching the keys and discover that the key is supposedly more evil than Rhannon. Erikor suggests that Argent do whatever he can to delay his comrades from continuing the quest until he has time to look up more information about the keys.

The scene shifts again, where we see Shadolok, Bladehelm, Argent, Nightwind and Sultar sitting at a table. A drunken Bladehelm collapses on the floor, while Argent tries to convince the others of the greater peril that lies ahead of them.

Coron appears with Dhakab and tells the others that they must press on. When Argent tells Coron about the Key, Coron dismisses it as a rumor and nothing more. Coron explains he has a map for the giant’s fortress, where they next key is supposedly kept; The Crimson Giants. Nightwind explains that they will pose as traders, since the giants allow trading once a month. Shadolok says it sounds too easy, to which Nightwind explains, getting in will be easy, getting out with the key will be another matter entirely.

The scene shifts to two rugged looking traders on a wagon, with a slave woman. They speak of how the giants will pay a hefty price for her, only to devour her. One of them explains that they will use her before they trade her off to the giants, to get their own pleasure satisfied. They come upon two people in robes, assuming them to be lepers – they are mistaken when Shadolok and Nightwind attack them. Shadolok frees the girl, while Coron “questions” the traders. When Coron is done with them, there is nothing left of their minds or their lives.

A quick scene change to Tarrus One-Eyed, shows him observing them through a magical pool.

The scene shifts back to the Adventurers, where Coron informs Shadolok and Nightwind that they must get off the cart and make their way around the back of the giant’s fortress. Shadolok and Nightwind make their way to the base of the mountain, which the giant’s fortress sits upon. Agreeing to make the climb early in the morning, Shadolok rests while Nightwind keeps watch.

With the rise of the early morning sun, Nightwind and Shadolok make their way up the backside of the towering mountain. They make their way inside the fort and move around quietly, relying on Nightwind’s amazing senses.

However, much to their surprise – they’re discovered by a Crimson Giant…
