Suncutter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nSuncutter\u2019s origin trace back to an ancient time when the world was run by\ndemons. When the gods first appeared they sought to cleans the world of demons\nand reshape the world in a beautiful image. As the gods waged war upon the\ndemons, sending down angelic beings to fight in their place, the gods began to\novercome the demons and reshape portions of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the time\ncame when the gods began to populate the world with Elves, Dwarves and Men;\nseveral of the demon-lords swayed many humans to commit acts of violence\nagainst their own kind, and for their actions would reward them with their\ndarkest desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Realizing that the threat to the demons were the holy warriors of the gods, several demons enchanted weapons with their own essence, granting those that used them more power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One such\nweapon was the Suncutter, enchanted by the Demon Lord, Belaros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belaros entrusted the blade to an Incubus by the name of Tor\u2019Quar, who had served Belaros faithfully. Despite the Demon Wars against the Gods, the Demon Lords did not appreciate when other Demon Lords were doing well, and as a result Orcus – who had watched as Tor\u2019Quar slew thousands of Clerics and Paladins, newly loyal to the Gods – unleashed a Pit Fiend to dispatch Tor\u2019Quar. The Pit Fiend, taking pleasure in hunting down the Incubus, eventually found him and killed him. The Pit Fiend took the Suncutter and murdered both demon and mortal alike, taking great pleasure in the power the dark blade granted him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Florasena knew that she had to stop the Pit Fiend. A Solar Angel by the name of Verastin<\/strong><\/strong> was sent down and the Angel severed the Pit Fiend\u2019s hand, so that the gauntlet, with the cursed blade clutched tightly, fell to the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cursed blade vanished from history for hundreds of years; burning out the souls of those who wielded the blade. The blade eventually came into possession of a Bandit Wizard named Kress Dahl<\/strong>, who realized the power of the sword was too much for mortals and forged a gauntlet that would allow mortals to hold the blade and harness its dark powers. He then turned over to his murderous brother, Kallen Dahl<\/strong>. Upon putting on the gauntlet, he had a vision of a flaming sword and the gauntlet guided him to an ancient temple where the flaming blade was found. Reunited with the blade, the gauntlet granted the murderer great power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The murderer\nwent on a killing spree, specifically targeting Clerics and Paladins, carrying\nout the original will of Belaros. The murderer soon discovered, for each life\nhe took, the blade absorbed the light of the person\u2019s soul (no matter how\nminor) and fed his own life, granting him extended life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He became so wildly sought that he eventually went into hiding, forming a small band of brigands to do his duty \u2013 bringing him riches and if at all possible \u2013 victims to feed his blade\u2019s hunger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brigand was eventually found and defeated<\/a>, and now Phalen<\/a> bares the curse of the weapon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
