Three spheres of light, descending on an unknown land and erupting in a blinding pain, consuming everything in it’s path, rushing towards me, as if there were outstretched arms beckoning me into submission. A brief moment of absolute serenity, followed by an inescapable darkness. The visions always ended the same way, leaving me with a dreadful sense of despair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My clan would insist on finding the spiritual meaning, telling me Gaia was showing me a path to follow. I knew better, because I felt it, a threat to all of us. At a young age, I left my clan behind and set out on my own, searching for answers. For many years I was fiercely independent, moving throughout the wilds, never far from the shore. I was looking for the forbidden one. The outcast and purveyor of forgotten schools of magic. My grandmother. After nearly a decade of searching, I found her. The more I think back on it though, she allowed me to find her. That starless night, I approached a faint camp fire on the northern shore. A hand appeared out of the darkness and grabbed my shoulder, and as our eyes met, she simply said “You’ve seen it too, haven’t you?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the next few years, I traveled with Karliah, exploring ancient ruins and sunken cities. She seemed convinced that the visions we shared were a warning from the Gods of Old, a retribution that was to be dealt to all races. I wasn’t sure what to believe. We found texts speaking of ancient evils and an unknown land. I was certain that together, we would uncover the mysteries surrounding our visions but that all changed when I awoke yesterday morning. My grandmother was gone, leaving behind a simple note that read – “Kne’Urth holds the answers we seek.
