33<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The two Driders have climbed over the small cave in and see Nor&#8217;Orn and hear Doomsilk barking commands in Undercommon and begin firing their arrows at him, blooding him in their first wave of attacks (one of them &#8211; the one that looks a little different than the other &#8211; landed a <em>Natural 20!<\/em>)<br><br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2867\" width=\"574\" height=\"471\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image.png 731w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image-300x246.png 300w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image-366x300.png 366w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Driders!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Morsus notices that the Drider who had landed the Critical Strike against Nor&#8217;Orn &#8211; her bow seems to be firing &#8220;beams of light&#8221; rather than actual arrows<\/li><li>Morsus yells to Nor&#8217;Orn to tell him to take the <em>Dodge Action<\/em><\/li><li>Don steps away from the Driders and fires an arrow at the Drider with the magical bow<\/li><li>Korra also fires her bow, striking the Drider with the magical bow<\/li><li>Morsus&#8217; spiritual guardians lash out at the Driders at the beginning of their turn, inflicting some damage<\/li><li>The Driders cast <em>Faerie Fire<\/em> which successfully lands on Ragnaroc, but Don Kannin is able to avoid it<\/li><li>The Driders then take advantage and begin pummeling the tranced Ragnaroc<\/li><li>Morsus attempts to <em>Toll the Dead<\/em> but they save <em>(Natural 20!)<\/em><\/li><li>Don then fires some arrows at the Driders, hitting them<\/li><li>Adrian, for his bonus action, tells Nor&#8217;Orn to begin preparing the <em>Faerie Fire<\/em> potion<\/li><li>Sephrenia casts a Heal on Nor&#8217;Orn restoring some of his health<\/li><li>Morsus runs up to the Driders, casting <em>Spiritual Guardians<\/em><\/li><li>The Driders attempt to endure the <em>Spiritual Guardians<\/em> and continue their attack on the glowing Ragnaroc<\/li><li>Sephrenia does <em>Mass Heal<\/em> which restores some health to her party members<\/li><li>Ragnaroc snaps out of the trance (<em>Player logged into the game! Hooray!)<\/em><\/li><li>He launches several bolts of Eldritch Blast striking one of the Driders<\/li><li>The one with the magic bow &#8211; now appears bloodied<\/li><li>Morsus launches his Spiritual Hammer against it &#8211; landing a <em>Critical Strike (Natural 20!)<\/em><\/li><li>He follows up with <em>Toll the Dead<\/em> which does a little more damage<\/li><li>Korra then fires her crossbow at the Drider with the magic bow and also lands a <em>Critical Strike (Natural 20!)<\/em> with Sneak Damage &#8211; but the Drider is still standing!<\/li><li>Sephrenia tries to hit them with Guiding Bolt which they&#8217;re able to avoid; and the one with the magic bow even manages to avoid her Spiritual Hammer<\/li><li>The Driders focus their attack on Ragnaroc who is still glowing from Faerie Fire and manage to take him down &#8211; sending Ragnaroc crumbling to the floor like a puppet whose strings have been cut<\/li><li>However, before going down Ragnaroc is able to do a <em>Hellish Rebuke<\/em> as a reaction<\/li><li>Morsus casts <em>Spare the Dying<\/em> on Ragnaroc<\/li><li>Then proceeds to use his bonus action to attack with his Spiritual Hammer, but misses!<\/li><li>Don fires a shot with his bow &#8211; hitting the Drider with the magical bow &#8211; killing her!<\/li><li>Adrian rushes up and attacks the other one &#8211; expending a Divine Smite which bloodies it!<\/li><li>Sephrenia rushes to Ragnaroc&#8217;s side and uses a <em>Cure Light Wounds<\/em> spell, restoring twelve health to the fallen Warlock<\/li><li>She also attempts to use her spiritual weapon, it however, misses the driders<\/li><li>The Driders attempt to take down Morsus since he&#8217;s keeping his damaging spell on them; and one manages to hit; but Morsus&#8217; spell delivers more damage<\/li><li>Ragnaroc quickly quaffs a potion to regain more health<\/li><li>Ragnaroc manages to launch two Eldritch Blasts &#8211; both of which strike the Drider<\/li><li>Don loads an arrow and nearly misfires it &#8211; but recovers just in time <em>(Critical Fail, but re-rolled with Inspiration resulting in a hit against the Drider!)<\/em><\/li><li>Don barks a command for Jackson to attack &#8211; but the large honey badger is unable to penetrate the Drider&#8217;s hide<\/li><li>Nor&#8217;Orn, meanwhile on Glider, throws down the <em>Faerie Fire potion<\/em> on Doomsilk, who is not quick enough to get out of the way (fails Dexterity Save)<\/li><li>Adrian swaps out his weapon &#8211; choosing to wield <em>Demonbane<\/em><\/li><li>Sephrenia launches a <em>Guiding Bolt<\/em> striking for some heavy damage on Doomsilk, then begins moving her Spiritual Hammer towards him<\/li><li>Doomsilk tries to <em>Witchbolt<\/em> Nor&#8217;Orn but Glider distracts him causing Doomsilk to misfire, striking himself (<em>Critical Fail<\/em>)<\/li><li>Ragnaroc unleashes two Eldritch Blasts, hitting both times<\/li><li>Morsus &#8211; all the way at the other side of the cave (120&#8242; away) &#8211; because moving towards Doomsilk &#8211; but does cast <em>Scorching Ray<\/em> which manages to hit Doomsilk several times<\/li><li>Don <strong>drops his bow<\/strong> and runs by and picks up the &#8220;energy bow&#8221; and fires it (but does not get any advantages of the magic since he&#8217;s not attuned to it) &#8211; and uses Sharpshooter to deliver some hard hitting damage<\/li><li>Korra <strong>drops her crossbow<\/strong> and switches to her shortbow and fires at Doomsilk and hits<\/li><li>Nor&#8217;Orn pulls off his short bow from his shoulder and fires at Doomsilk, hitting him for some minor damage<\/li><li>Adrian dashes to get next to Doomsilk<\/li><li>Sephrenia hits Doomsilk with another blast of Guiding Bolt doing some incredible damage<\/li><li>Doomsilk tries to Witchfire Adrian, but fails to do so<\/li><li>Ragnaroc launches on Eldritch blast hitting Doomsilk &#8211; when Doomsilk sees him charging for another he puts himself on the other side of Adrian so it strikes Adrian instead (<em>Critical Fail<\/em> on the second bolt)<\/li><li>Mrosus begins dashing towards Doomsilk<\/li><li>Don hits Doomsilk with a sharpshooter attack, and hits with a normal shot<\/li><li>Korra then fires from her shortbow &#8211; striking Doomsilk in the throat<\/li><li>Doomsilk grabs his throat, mutters, &#8220;Burn in Garengrand!&#8221; And Adrian watches as Doomsilk presses a button &#8211; setting off a chain of explosions in his laboratory &#8211; where various potions explode sending shards of glass and mixing lethal combinations &#8211; creating a lethal gas!<\/li><li>Several party members get caught in the explosion &#8211; suffering some damage &#8211; as Doomsilk tumbles backwards into the the passage behind him that leads to the river waters he&#8217;d been poisoning and collapses, dead &#8211; his body washed away by the river<\/li><li>Nor&#8217;Orn points out the table he needs make the counter poison; Sephrenia tries to use Ray of Frost, but the flames are too much<\/li><li>Korra, being an Air Genasi, uses her racial trait to hold her breath to prevent breathing in the poison<\/li><li>As the party continues to try to put out the fires impacting the table, many of them begin taking extensive damage from the toxic poison in the air<\/li><li>With Korra&#8217;s help, they&#8217;re able to put out the fire on the table<\/li><li>Everyone is suffering<\/li><li>Nor&#8217;Orn quickly lands and begins making the chemical to cleanse the water and reverse what Doomsilk&#8217;s done &#8211; and manages to do so &#8211; between coughing fits due to the air in the room becoming toxic from the chemicals that have mixed and spread through smoke and fire in the room<\/li><li>He explains it should take about a day for the water to be safe to drink, since the counteracting toxins in the water need time to spread through the body of water &#8211; but that the anti-toxin is aggressive in how it attacks the poisoned water<\/li><li>The party decides &#8211; the best exit is through the same hole that Doomsilk fell through, and that Nor&#8217;Orn poured the anti-poison<\/li><li>Everyone <strong>picks up<\/strong> their dropped weapons and makes it for the hole<\/li><li>Ragnaroc and Don need to bolt through the room to try and get to the hole in the wall &#8211; and both suffering inhaling the toxic air &#8211; damaging them significantly &#8211; by the time they reach the hole <\/li><li>Everyone leaps through the hole &#8211; and goes down the rapid river &#8211; down a waterfall &#8211; and eventually washes ashore on a large beach where there is a large lake that the river dumps into<\/li><li>Down here there is literally no light &#8211; it&#8217;s complete darkness, not even illuminated mushrooms resides down here<\/li><li>Sephrenia uses her channel divinity to spread some healing; but those that are bloodied still have some major wounds<\/li><li>The party heaves a deep sigh and collapses on the beach&#8230;<\/li><li>Wondering&#8230;<ul><li>Where is Doomsilk&#8217;s body?<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Want to help?
