He explains that while they were on their way to Stoneguard, a Hill Giant had attacked the southern edge of Ridgecrest, and that a white dragon had been terrorizing a small town outside of Ridgecrest, called Spire’s Edge. The town was named after being in the constant shadow of the mysterious Shadow Mountain. The mayor explained that kobold forces were coming down from Shadow Mountain and laying constant attack against Spire’s Edge, and believed a show of force, may be what it takes to drive them back to the mountains. The party agreed to help and traveled to Spire’s Edge where they saw the small town burning. Rushing down, they fought several waves of kobolds; some with wings, some even capable of casting magical spells. All of the kobolds wore tabards that bore the symbol of a (poorly) drawn white dragon. Though the party suffered quite a bit of wounds against the reptilian creatures, they were able to save and escort several of the citizens to the keep at Spire’s Edge; and despite the cold attack from the dragon, that gravely wounded two of them; with the magic casting kobolds defeated, the dragon signaled for the remaining kobolds to retreat. The mayor of Spire’s Edge, a young human named Barus Gravestone, explained that the kobolds and the white dragon had been attacking the town for several days. From what they had been able to gather from a captured Kobold (and tricked into confessing a few things), that there was something going on with the dragons and giants that had them riled up. (What it was, the captured Kobold did not know; only that it served the white dragon faithfully and do whatever it told it).

Want to help?
