On this hilly region, the Harengon lived in burrows that were all interconnected called <em>warrens.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The appearance of a Harengon can vary greatly. Some stand tall, like humans; while others look more like larger rabbits, smaller in size. In standard Harengon society, those Harengon who stood taller tended to be the warriors, scouts and hunters, while the smaller Harengon tended to be druids, clerics, and wizards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest warren in Warrenden Down is a warren called <strong>Fiver&#8217;ith <\/strong><em>(which in the Harengon tongue means &#8211; home of a thousand passages<\/em>). <strong>Hazel&#8217;rah<\/strong> is the chief of the <strong>Awsolerah<\/strong> (<em>head chief)<\/em>. His most trusted companion is a Harengon cleric by the name of <strong>Thriar<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a vision that <strong>Thriar<\/strong> had that a bad omen was coming &#8211; and that the Harengon would need to get involved in the &#8220;world beyond.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hazel&#8217;rah<\/strong> taps <strong>General Shado&#8217;rah<\/strong>, the strongest among the Harengon of <strong>Fiver&#8217;ith<\/strong> to commission him to build a vessel that could take them across the sea. <strong>General Shado&#8217;rah<\/strong> did as commanded and led a force of one hundred Harengon to the land of Vareen.
