Not Present This Session<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The party, with their new found base, decides they want to explore some of the pyramid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dusk explains he will stay here and study some of the ancient runes in the room <em>(DM Note &#8211; this was an easy way to excuse him from today&#8217;s session as the player was not able to attend this session)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don explains that the new found magical energy released has made his mind open to the world; and he feels something calling outside of the pyramid, so he excuses himself <em>(DM Note &#8211; this was an easy way to excuse him from today&#8217;s session as the player was not able to attend this session &#8211; ironically, Don is changing his Ranger sub class, so this was an easy way to explain why he wasn&#8217;t present)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The party begins to head down the hall and sees &#8211; that it opens to the left and right &#8211; and Buppido starts marching left &#8211; and the others follow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The hall seems to have been an area where several studies, with rooms that had once belonged to scribes; due to the ancient, brittle parchments, and the rotted wooden tables; before the hall opens up to a large cathedral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"557\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-1024x557.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7194\" style=\"width:553px;height:300px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-1024x557.png 1024w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-300x163.png 300w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-768x418.png 768w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-1536x835.png 1536w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33-500x272.png 500w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-33.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The party reaches the back wall of the cathedral and sees a large statue of a humanoid figure whose arms are extended out; but the arms are snake-like in appearance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Behind the statue is a large, skeletal figure of a massive snake like creature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In front of the statue are two sarcophagus, both of them are covered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glancing all around; there are bones everywhere &#8211; and it becomes clear that the previous owners took part of human sacrifices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adrian casts <em>Divine Sense<\/em> and notices all the bones on the floor glow a faint color, as does the serpent skull behind the statue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adrian points out &#8211; all the bones are glowing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And just as Buppido picks one up and says, &#8220;Even this one?&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And all the bones start coming together<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And they all connect &#8211; into one large serpent skeletal creature!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-34.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"820\" height=\"1000\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-34.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7196\" style=\"width:531px;height:649px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-34.png 820w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-34-246x300.png 246w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-34-768x937.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Korra manages to strike the creature with her new spell <em>Psychic Blade<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Spirit Naga casts <em>Lightning Bolt<\/em> which manages to strike Adrian, but Bupiddo and Korra dodge (only taking half the damage), except for Sephrenia who was standing off to the side<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adrian casts <em>Protection from Evil and Good<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sephrenia casts <em>Summon Celestial &#8211; Defender<\/em> &#8211; using <em>Healing Touch<\/em> on Adrian who&#8217;d suffered damage from the lightning bolt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Korra smiles &#8211; looks at her dagger and summons up the new magic coursing through her body and casts <em>Shadow Blade<\/em> and strikes the Spirit Naga for damage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Korra manages to avoid all the damage &#8211; even the half damage (<em>Natural 20!<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-35.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"229\" height=\"191\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-35.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7198\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adrian however, fails to save and takes the full brunt of the Spirit Naga&#8217;s furious <em>Lightning Bolt<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The damage is also enough to rattle his concentration, breaking his <em>Protection from Evil and Good<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buppido tries a <em>Raulothim&#8217;s Psychic Lance<\/em> &#8211; however, the Spirit Naga avoids it completely (<em>Natural 20!)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-36.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"541\" height=\"372\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-36.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7202\" style=\"width:524px;height:360px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-36.png 541w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-36-300x206.png 300w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-36-436x300.png 436w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adrian begins to swing &#8211; but his weapon almost slides out of his hands, and uses <em>Inspiration<\/em> to prevent the <em>Critical Fail (Natural 1)<\/em> &#8211; but he&#8217;s not able to penetrate the Spirit Naga with that attack<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-37.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"704\" height=\"377\" src=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-37.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7204\" style=\"width:558px;height:298px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-37.png 704w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-37-300x161.png 300w, http:\/\/tawmis.com\/kneurth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-37-500x268.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>But as he brings his sword back around, he lands a hit and sends a <em>Divine Smite<\/em> through and does significant damage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This causes the Spirit Naga to explode; sending bone fragments through the room &#8211; and the party dives behind the pews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The party examines the symbols all over the floor and walls &#8211; and notices runes on the sarcophagus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Want to help?
