X-Men ’92 #7 – 10

Another version of Adam-X makes a cameo at the end of X-MEN 92 #7 – appearing to be a leader of a team of Mutants that includes Random, Maggot and Marrow.

Adam comes in contact with several members of Generation X, including Jubilee, Monet and Chamber. Adam’s dialogue is written painfully over the top (I get they’re making fun of how “X-Treme” he is, but it’s cringe worthy at how hard they’re trying).

An all fight with X-Factor, and unfortunately all that metal on Adam makes him highly susceptible to Polaris’ mutant ability to control the magnetic spectrum.

Adam gets a good thrashing from Monet, who criticizes Adam’s fashion sense. (Apparently, despite being a 90’s character herself, didn’t pay much attention to how most heroes and villains dressed in the 90s!)

When things calm down – Adam gets in Wolfsbane face about this being a trick by President Kelly to round up Mutants (and the writers inject another cringe worthy line of him telling Rahne “to get out of the mosh pit”).

Polaris gives Adam a shove so that he’s not in Rahne’s face – and this gets Maggot, Marrow and Random all riled up, seeing one of their “team mates” getting shoved during an escalating situation.

Professor Xavier uses mind control / telepath to keep the cross calm and stop the violence. Interesting to note that Maggot, Marrow and Random are effected by Adam resists the mental suggestion effortlessly.

When the X-Men suddenly arrive (I believe this is due to the series coming to an unintended end, they rushed the ending), Adam cracks a joke that the X-Men have a habit of “showing up to save the day” – and Wolverine badgers Adam about it.
