History: Barak was born in the military theocracy of Baali in the year 3567. His titles are many – General of the Second Army of the Celestial Fist of Baal, Lord of the Eighth Tier of Baali, Protector of the Faith – all reflecting his incredible talent. Barak has known nothing but the life of the military. It is his element and there he has thrived.

Barak’s military career is unusually full and distinguished for one so young. He served as a messenger for General Maracus when he was only six years old. At twelve he led his sling troops in a charge that occupied Dadrus’ deadly archers at the battle of Orleg. At fifteen, he was already larger and more powerful than most men. He rallied his pike men on the hills of the Sighing Plains until the nomads of that region tired of their staggering losses. On the taking of Balekir, it was Barak who discovered the plot of the Silent Cadre to retake the throne. Further, Barak was instrumental in rounding up the revolutionaries.

In his first command at the battle of Gam, he destroyed the army of Ulgai, a nomadic lord, and prevented the unification of the nomadic people. This victory gave him the postion he now occupies, General of the Second Army of Celestial Fist of Baal.

His latest campaign against a force of grogs from the ruined city of Tecumeth was disappointing for Barak. The grogs were poorly organized and the easy victory did not manifest his talents.

Though loyal to the King of Baali, Barak is not a religious man. He is motivated mostly by the desire for power and the lust for military glory. Many have predicted that he will be High Commander of the Celestial Fist of Baal within five years. If his quest for the Grail of Darkness succeeds, it is likely that these predictions will come true.
