- Adrian Silverstrength (Human Paladin)
- Dick Poop (High Elf Wizard)
- Morsus Firebeard (Hill Dwarf Cleric)
- Rex Jams (Bronze Dragonborn Bard)
- Apostrophe (Goliath Cleric)
- Sensing great darkness and evil, and death all about, Morsus is thrown off as he feels like even his Goddess can not penetrate the death that lingers here (Morsus was not present for this session)
- The party continues to move on, exploring the miner’s cavern.
- There are several bodies here in various states of decay. There is equipment sprawled throughout the cavern. Several supply wagons and carts are turned over. The smell of decay is extremely strong.
- Rex James and Adrian search through the bodies for clues – and Rex searches for treasure
- They both find some nice blades, some gold, and even some gems
- But what they also find is a Carrion Crawler which lunges out from the dead bodies, protecting its food source
- The party is gravely wounded by the Carrion Crawler, but do manage to kill it
- The party tends to Rex James, he was nearly fatally wounded
- The party, after healing and resting, moves on to the last known passage in the cavern
- A portion of the cavern is collapsed here. There is a small hole that goes to the north that would require anyone of medium size or larger to squeeze through. The party could hear clicking sounds beyond the hole that sound like a bunch of excited crickets. There was blood all over the floor.
- Adrian goes to examine and sees two dwarf sized insects burst from the small hole and begin attacking aggressively
- Apostrophe casts Thunder Wave and collapses that portion of the cavern, over the hole as well as on top of the two that had come through the hole; but those two were quickly getting out from beneath the rubble to continue their attack
- The party manages to dispatch the unusual insects, and casts one more Thunderwave on that portion of the wall to collapse it further
- Returning to Spire’s Edge, they report their findings to the Mayor and explain that the insects are on the other side of the collapsed wall, and that it would be best to collapse the entire section of that cavern
