Orcs trace their creation to the one-eyed god Grumthak, an unstoppable warrior and powerful leader. The divine qualities of Grumthak resonate within orcs, granting them a reflection of his toughness and tenacity that can’t be matched, and the god equipped his children to be able to live above or below ground, because in the one eye that Grumthak has – he sees enemies everywhere.

Most orcs who turn away from Grumthak are hunted down by other orcs and killed, because Grumthak sees them as weakness – and will do anything and everything – to ensure his people are never perceived as weak. Still, some do manage to escape Grumthak’s watchful eye – but they are so far and few between.
