Harengon

The Harengon species originates from a small island known as Warrenden Down. On this hilly region, the Harengon lived in burrows that were all interconnected called warrens.

The appearance of a Harengon can vary greatly. Some stand tall, like humans; while others look more like larger rabbits, smaller in size. In standard Harengon society, those Harengon who stood taller tended to be the warriors, scouts and hunters, while the smaller Harengon tended to be druids, clerics, and wizards.

The largest warren in Warrenden Down is a warren called Fiver’ith (which in the Harengon tongue means – home of a thousand passages). Hazel’rah is the chief of the Awsolerah (head chief). His most trusted companion is a Harengon cleric by the name of Thriar.

It was a vision that Thriar had that a bad omen was coming – and that the Harengon would need to get involved in the “world beyond.”

Hazel’rah taps General Shado’rah, the strongest among the Harengon of Fiver’ith to commission him to build a vessel that could take them across the sea. General Shado’rah did as commanded and led a force of one hundred Harengon to the land of Vareen. Once there, they created a settlement and began to expand, barely making themselves known to others after years of endless observation.
