Having used up the last of their money paying for what passed as rooms, aboard The Sea’s Witch, the adventurers were forced to eventually earn their keep by doing manual labor aboard the ship. The Captain of the ship, a Minotaur named Thorn Brokenhorn, recommended that the party go to The Lion’s Maw, an Inn/Tavern within the city of the Ivory Vale, where the mayor, named Belgar Daggeredge frequented each night; typically desperate for a new batch of adventurers to help with the many problems that plague The Ivory Vale.

With no coin to their name, the party made their way to the Lion’s Maw and patiently awaited the arrival of the Mayor. A human, with long blond hair and striking green eyes, walking with a limp, entered the room – and all the patrons raised their mugs and cheered him. The owner of the Lion’s Maw, a half elf with a scar over his left eye (according to legend, received from the very lion whose head hung above the bar), pointed out to the adventurers that the human was the Mayor.

Approaching Mayor Daggeredge, the party could see, despite his long hair and striking green eyes, there was definitely a look of concern. He explained that the Blacksmith, Argus Bloodstone’s daughter, Elyra, has fallen ill and not even the Clerics or herbs from the Druid, Genalia, have managed to provide any help. The Mayor explains that there’s rumor of an ancient Temple of Florasena, the Goddess of Life, that is only a few hours away, but fell to ruin long ago, and now houses some beasts. Three villagers were sent several days ago to see if they could gather some water from its legendary fountain – that is said to heal any wound, remove any ailment, and supposedly bring someone back from death, if their soul has not yet left their body.

The Inn was full from the recent barrage of people who had come off The Sea’s Witch. Zelona spoke with a farmer named Koroland, who offered a place to rest in his barn, which was outside city limits. Spending the night there, the party took notice to some fae activity happening outside the bar, and the occasional sound of wolves howling.

With the coming of morning, the party made their way to the ancient Temple of Florasena, following the main path, until directed to break off the path into the woods. After some difficulties through the forest, the party finds the ancient temple. Entering through the front entrance, the party examines a large minotaur statue which suddenly comes to life. After some difficulty, the party had managed to defeat the statue of the minotaur. Exploring the room, they discovered some rabid rats, which they quickly dispersed with. Moving cautiously through the right hall, Kai explored one of the room, and found herself stuck in webbing, which got the attention of a giant spider. The rest of the party, risked getting stuck, and launched an attack against the spider, eventually defeating it. They discovered one of the three farmers had been wrapped in webbing, and still alive, through completely incoherent.

They continued to move and found a large door in a wall that seemed undamaged, unlike the rest of the temple. The door had an indent of some kind of a face with horns, and would not budge despite their best efforts. The party found the skeletal remains of a priest, and around their neck – a pendant with a gargoyle face that seemed to fit the door. Returning to the door, they found it did fit – and it unlocked the door. The entire party entered the room – seeing the fabled pool, and a gargoyle guardian which immediately came to life. The party fought, with Twig taking quite a beating. Using the pool’s fabled powers, they were able to confirm the pool’s magical abilities. Zelona explained that her code demands that they search the rest of the temple for the other two farmers who had come. Searching, they find the remains of one of the farmers – deceased. A search for through the rest of the temple, leads to a battle quite a number of giant centipedes, and Twig, Urthez, and Brolimir falling into a collapsed portion of the floor. Zelona, in an attempt to rescue them, also falls in. But the others are able to get them out. The party returns back to the Ivory Vale with no information as to where the third farmer might be, as he had still not yet returned to the Ivory Vale city.

That night, Brolimir goes out at night to fetch some herbs, and finds himself attacked by a pack of wolves – one of them, larger than the rest – and white – that seemingly appears and disappears at will. He manages to escape into a tree, and is later rescued by the others who find him out in the wild.
