Confronting the Cloud Giant, Blagothkus – the party informs him that the spirit of his wife, who helps power the castle, has informed them that his plan of aligning with the dragons would bring catastrophe to the world.
Blagothkus, seeking to relive the days of old – knowing that the return of the Dragons would alarm his Giant-Kin into once again rising up against the Dragons – it took a great amount of convincing. But once the party escorted him back to the Spirit Chamber of the castle, Blagothkus’ wife confirms that she has indeed spoken to the adventurers and that she loves her husband deeply, but feels that this path he is on, may ignite the fire in the giants to rise again, but it will also do irreparable damage to the world.
She goes on to explain all the damage the Dragon-Giant War brought, long before any of the adventurers were born; towns of mortals were smashed and destroyed, thousands of innocent people.
Blagothkus sees the error of his ways, and confronts the Cult of Five informing them that he can not carry on with the mission. The Cult threatens Blagothkus, who does not respond kindly to the threats of mortals. Things escalate quickly, and the adventurers soon find themselves caught in a battle with the giant fighting off the cult as well as a young White Dragon.
Blagothkus’ wife sensing that a fatal blow had been struck to her husband, decided to crash the castle into the mountain side. The castle came crashing, causing a massive avalanche. However, witnesses in a nearby small town claimed to have witnessed a Silver Dragon, with a Half-Orc and large Ogre riding upon it, that had dipped into the castle and escaped just before impact.
There are stories that this was Twig, coming for his half-brother and his friends, and that the Ogre was none other than the Ogre, Ball, whom Twig had gone to rescue. How they had come into the company of a Silver Dragon remains unknown.
None of the factions have heard from any of their connections, so the fate of the heroes remains a mystery…
