Note: This session has new players witnessing the events that happened in The Stranded – Session 01. It was the player Aram’s birthday, so he’d invited several friends who’d never played D&D before (Azula, Bronk, Lani, Sage, Silas and Trinket), while Bergeoff had played only for the Stranded Session 01 and 02, and Aelith and Flint had played in some of my games previously (though very sporadically, and before I began recording them for the site and tying everything into a “living world” type situation). So for this session, since Aram and Bergeoff were going to be there, I thought I’d just continue that session – but the new players would be on a different boat that witnesses what happens so I could ease them into learning how D&D works. The events of this session, take place before Session 01 and Session 02, up until this party catches up to the previous party, engaged in a battle with the Sea Hag mentioned at the very end of Session 02.
- The day’s travel had been going smoothly, when – as they neared an island, unmarked on any maps, to their right – the skies darkened, and purple lightning crackled through the heavens. This was no natural storm which had so quickly appeared.

- The people aboard ship known as The Evenstar watched as five figures emerged from the water – their upper torsos like that of men, but their bottom torsos were like that of a giant squid! Immediately the people aboard The Evenstar knew, whoever, or whatever these beings were – their actions were born of ill intention.
- Deep beneath the tides, unseen, a female Triton by the name of Aelith watched in horror – her people had long heard rumors that the Kraken Priests were after some kind of relic – and based on their actions – one of those ships had the relic they sought.
- Aelith watched in horror as the Kraken Priests completed their spell of the summoning, despite efforts from those on The Evenstar and The Sun Chaser ships launching volleys at the Kraken Priests.
- A Kraken emerged, it’s giant tentacles wrapping around The Sun Chaser, and a few, tragic moments later, its tentacles tightened, the ship’s hull screamed in pain and the boards strained to maintain their form – but no ship could endure the deadly grasp of a mighty Kraken, and soon the ship was splintered in two, as easily as one might snap a toothpick.
- This had sent people aboard the ship flying in every direction, some plunging into the sea and sinking to the bottom due to their heavy armor, others clung onto the splintered wood for their lives, those below decks found themselves trapped in their quarters as water flooded the shattered ship.
- Aelith had tried desperately to save those she could, but there’d been too many casualties, the seas had turned red with blood.
- Near the other vessel which had not snapped, she saw two people in the water…
- Moments before that…
- Sage, a half-elf aboard The Evenstar watched in horror as The Sun Chaser was snapped in half. The only reason she’d been aboard The Evenstar was to follow the elf she’d fallen in love with, Bergeoff Raethran – and now the ship he’d been aboard had been snapped in half, and she’d watched in horror as it looked as if he might have been killed, after Aram had pushed him in the water, the mast of the ship seemed to have landed directly where Bergeoff Raethran had fallen into the water.
- Filled with heartache and fear, Sage, without thinking of her own safety had jumped into the water, in hopes of swimming to the shattered remains of The Sun Chaser on the idea, she might find Bergeoff Raethran still alive.
- However, the tide had been too much – the Kraken had stirred the once placid ocean into a maelstrom of waves and chaos.
- Seeing Sage in danger, the Harengon named Trinket threw a rope down, however, Sage struggled to get a hold of it
- To everyone’s surprise, the bugbear, Bronk Thunderaxe, grabbed the rope and descended into the ocean, endangering himself in order to grab Sage and pull her to him.
It was at that moment…
- Aelith had seen the two bodies in the water, near the ship that had not been sundered by the Kraken, and quickly swam to their aid, pushing them up above the tide, allowing Bronk and Sage to safely climb aboard The Evenstar with Aelith right behind them. Everyone aboard The Evenstar watched in horror as the last remnants of The Sun Chaser disappeared beneath the dark tides of the churning ocean.
- The Captain of The Evenstar noted that there had to be survivors of the attack by the Kraken that may have made it to the nearby island. Unfortunately they had to wait for almost a day to begin the search, for the storm the Kraken Priests had summoned had made the waters too violent for the ship to safely get near the island.

- Aelith (Triton Druid) who knew that the Kraken Priests were after a relic to give to the Kuo-Toa to complete some form of ritual agreed to go.
- Azula (Tabaxi Bard) agreed to go because she was familiar with moving through small islands, and tropical forests, because that’s how her own home had been, and thought she could help identify signs of survivors.
- Bronk Thunderaxe (Bugbear Paladin) surprised everyone, when he offered to go and slay whatever might on the island and a threat to the search party.
- Flint (Human Ranger) as a Ranger was familiar with the land and how to look for signs of survivors, offered to go (with some hestitation, however – it required the Captain who recognized Flint for who he was, to prod him into going)
- Lani (Aasamir Paladin) offered to go, for she believed that this entire incident had been put in front of her for some greater purpose (and naturally, she also sought to help in finding the survivors, but between what Aelith had shared, she believed something larger was at play here).
- Sage (Half-Elf Bard) offered to go, for her boyfriend had been aboard the Sun Chaser and had wanted to see if he was still alive.
- Silas Heron (Aarakocra Monk) offered to go, for he could take flight and scout the areas above the trees, giving them a greater vantage to potentially spot signs of survivors.
- Trinket (Harengon Rogue) offered to go because… Well, let’s be honest here. She’s a rogue and she was curious to see what was on this island that she could… uncover… and besides, this whole “relic” that the Kraken Priests sought and some weird ritual… sounded like the kinds of adventures her own god, Ella’hrayda had gone on (and her father had always said, the mischief of Ella’hrayda seemed to flow through her).
- The dingies the Captain had for his ship only held four per, so the party had to split with Sage, Silas, Lani, and Bronk in one and Aelith, Azula, Flint and Trinket in the other.
- Bronk showed his strength, rowing fiercely to get to the island, with the secondary dingy following close behind
- Upon reaching the shore, Trinket noticed the shore was lined with corpses, victims of the Sun Chaser who had not survived the Kraken’s attack. As she began to search the bodies, she quickly realized someone or something had already seemingly looted the bodies of any valuables.
- She also noticed, as one of the corpses latched onto her leg, that the foul magic of the Kraken Priest’s summoning spell, had also seeped into the corpses and animated them as zombies.
- Quickly, the others rushed in to aid Trinket from her current situation, with Aelith delivering the killing blow (how does one kill something that’s already dead?), by severing the zombie’s head.
- With evidence, that it would at least there were some survivors, as someone or something had looted these corpses, the party began to look around for more evidence of survivors.
- Azula found a bamboo fortress that appeared to have been crudely made, in an effort to take shelter from the storm, but by all appearances, it looked as if the storm had torn apart the shelter. But the shelter was further evidence that someone had washed ashore and tried to build a shelter from the storm.
- Silas, the Aarakocra, had taken to the air and spotted a nearby nest that was large in size; and being an Aarakocra, he was already familiar with what he’d spotted. It’d been the nest of a Harpy. His bird eyes scanned around him, it was not uncommon for Harpies to lurk near shorelines, waiting for those who become stranded or pirates, who foolishly dock near the shores, where Harpies dwell, and to lure the unsuspecting people towards the Harpy’s trap with their luring song. Once he confirmed that there were no Harpies to be seen he landed on the nest and saw the signs of a struggle – there’d been blood, and fresh blood here. And after a moment, he saw the corpse of a Harpy in the nearby trees. This fight had been recent – she had tried to lure someone to her – which was more evidence of survivors of The Sun Chaser.
- The party continued to follow the path that seemed to primarily move north towards the large mountain in the center, which made sense, since their initial shelter had failed them, whoever the survivors were, had probably headed for the large mountain in hopes of finding a cavern to take shelter in and make a campfire to keep warm, until the storm had ceased.
- Upon reaching the mountain, Silas who had flown ahead, spots two bodies near the mouth of the cave; fearful it could have been some of the survivors he lands at the mouth of the cave and discovers the two corpses are goblins. It’s unclear if these goblins may have been survivors of the Sun Chaser, but one thing was clear – they’d been attacked and looted like the slain victims on the shore line. Silas waited her and signaled for his companions as they drew closer. He noted that deeper inside the cave there was a constant “roaring” sound – Aelith could tell, by the sound, that it was the sound of an underground rushing river – the waters, no doubt more violent due to the torrential rain from the Kraken Priest’s dark summoning.
- They discover foot prints that lead deeper into the cave, perhaps to investigate the water, or perhaps get fresh water from the river. The party follows the foot steps deeper into the cave, where they discover an underground fungus forest – and Aelith warns them to stay away from the purple fungus, as it can infect a person and turn them into fungal zombies.
- However, she failed to notice that the larger mushrooms were not just mushrooms. They were known as something called Shriekers and it would be Flint who would reveal why these mushrooms were called just that, as he bumped into one – causing it to Shriek loudly, then proceeded to run into several others, triggering a chorus of Shriekers going off, causing the echoes within the small cavern to echo so loudly that it became deafening, making it impossible to speak to one another.
- As they looked around, trying to figure out what to do (between the constant screaming of the Shriekers) and trying to identify with the other survivors they’d been tracking had gone, for their footsteps seem to vanish at the river’s edge… that’s when Lani noticed, just down the river, there was a Shrieker cap that had been carved out and used, almost like a canoe – but it’d been empty and stuck against the jagged rocks. (Fun Note – this is from when the character Gunthar had fallen out of his Mushroom Cap in Session 02 – this allowed for me to easily say what the party could do next).
- Trinket caught sight of a Skeleton on the other side, with with Bronk’s help was able to get to the other side of the river bank to investigate the skeleton by using the idea of cutting out a Shrieker cap as the other survivors had seemingly done. On that side of the shore, Trinket could tell that some kind of battle had happened here. They realized, the other survivors must have gone down the river in these “Shrieker Cap” boats they made.
- They tried to do the same thing… with mixed results… with some safely maneuvering in their Shrieker Cap boats, others sinking, others still, slamming into the rocks from the river. Seeing this, Silas decided he’d fly down the path – but that proved to narrow too quickly – so he flew out and around the cave.
- As the others came out the other side of the mountain’s river cavern, into open air, it was Aelith and Sage, who surfaced and heard more roaring ahead – it was a waterfall. Aelith screamed that a waterfall was ahead, while Sage, blew threw her trumpet to try and get everyone else’s attention.
- Silas arrived just in time to see Trinket, Azula, and Bronk heading over the waterfall – knowing he could only either grab Azula and Trinket together and carry them; or just grab Bronk who was heavier.. he hoped that Bronk could survive the plunge of the waterfall and nose dived to try and capture Azula and Trinket – however, in his haste, had over shot, however, Azula was able to land on Silas, her claws in fear latching onto him as the three of them tumbled down the waterfall with Bronk, cheerfully shouting behind them.Flint and Lani had managed to swim to shore, having heard Aelith and Sage’s warning.
- From the top of the waterfall, Aelith observed the area, and saw that the waterfall’s river eventually flowed into a lake that was not too far away – and she could see movement – potentially the survivors they’d been tracking.

- Silas took to the air and flew ahead (something he frequently did, and would eventually come to regret) – and discovered, it’d indeed been the survivors they’d been tracking – but they were fighting something horrible that had surfaced from the lake – a woman, whose vileness was so wicked and foul, words could not describe what he had been seeing.

- The others quickly arrived on the scene (after those on the waterfall had descended down a rope, forcing the fact that they had to leave one of their ropes tied to the rock to descend down the side of the waterfall and join their companions).
Note: It is at this point, that everyone is united, and the group from this session has caught up to the other group – and so now Aram and Bergeoff Raethran can now officially begin to take part – they’d waited for now for the others to catch up to them. Gunthar, the Tiefling Wizard was caught in the Sea Hag’s Death Gaze, as was Kavax Wildhammer, who had briefly been separated (he wasn’t there during Session 02) and caught up (behind the scenes) during the battle to fall victim to the Sea Hag’s Death Gaze ability. The NPC (Non Player Character) Marick Tallyfoot, stabilizes both of them with the Spare the Dying Spell and watches with joy as others come to assist – but his hands are full keeping watch over his two fallen companions. All of this, because I love continuity and so all of this is background information to keep the story consistent.
- Bronk seeing Aram ensnared in the Sea Hag’s clutches, delivers a mighty blow to the Sea Hag, which only earns her fury – she turns her deadly gaze upon Bronk – who then fails his save against the Sea Hag’s Death Gaze, and he too, with one foul look, falls, now standing at Death’s door.
- Aram, who sees Lani appears to be a Paladin without a sword (Note: I have no idea when I generated her character why I didn’t equip her with a sword) throws his spare long sword to her, but it lands in the lake – but she’s able to quickly recover it and slash at the Sea Hag
- Azula and Sage tend to Bronk, and stabilize him (with a successful Medcine check), and Azula is able to use Cure Wounds to get Bronk back on his feet and back into the battle
- It is a long, and terrible battle, with many wounded from the fight, but the Sea Hag is finally defeated. Trinket grabs the pendant that surfaces after the Sea Hag’s defeat, before Aram can grab it.
- Sage runs and clasps onto Bergeoff Raethran after the fighting is done, thankful to see that he is still alive. However, he had indeed been struck by the mast of the ship when it snapped, and his brain was still foggy. Sage said that they should go back to the ship – and Marick, who is happy to know that this group is not from the sundered Sun Chaser is happy to hear there’s a nearby ship with dingys. He offers to take Gunthar and Kavax, who were badly wounded by the Sea Hag back to the ship with Sage and Bergeoff.
- Note: Sage and Bergeoff had to leave, so this was an easy spot to excuse them as well as the other character who had played previously and not present for this birthday celebration game.
- Finding peace now at this lake, that had once been tarnished by the Sea Hag, a voice from the treetops calls out, “You must honor the deal.”
- Aram explains that the creature’s name is Burlap and that they’d made a deal with him previously to defeat the Sea Hag so that he could help get them off the island (See Session 02 for more information on that). Bronk shakes Burlap’s hand and says he will make good of the deal of Burlap helps the party stop the Kuo-Toa. Burlap cunningly shakes Bronk’s hand and creates a “Soul-Bind” – that if Bronk does not honor the deal, his soul will be siphoned to “his master” (for whom, his name he refused to speak)
- Trinket however, argues, that the new members were not a part of the bargain and should not have to honor the previous deal, and that they now have a means off of the island, through The Evenstar.
- Burlap then demands his pendant back which the Sea Hag had stolen from him, but Trinket refuses to return it to him.
- That night, the party sleeps at the lake, keeping watch – and Aelith sees Burlap sneaking in the night, trying to get close to Trinket’s pouch to undoubtedly still his pendant back. However, as he’s confronted by Aelith, he quickly scatters up a tree, his wounded wing, now slightly recovered over the night’s rest.
- Silas gives chase, but Burlap is able to elude him in the end
- Aelith explains to Aram, that she is glad to have found him (and the others), but there is more to this – the Kraken Priest attack on the ship was not a random attack – they were after an artifact or relic of some sort – to give to the Kuo-Toa, who are an evil race of “fish people” who are capable of unifying their mind and warping reality to do great and terrible things. Whatever was aboard the Sun Chaser was the relic that these Kraken Priests were after. She explains that the Kuo-Toa are somewhere on the Northern side of the island (as that’s where they’re known to dwell).
- When the company gets up the following morning, they must ford across a river, however, Flint is caught in the current, and Aelith (as a Triton) tells the others, she will go after him – but to continue without them – they have already spent too much time – the Kuo-Toa must be found and stopped.
- Note: At this point, the players who controlled Flint and Aelith had to go, so this coincidentally happened and happened to be a good spot to allow them to leave

- The others successfully forded across the river and entered the forest. Immediately, both Lani and Bronk, using their Paladin given abilities of Divine Sense could feel a sense of peace here and a strong presence of a Fay-creature of some kind. It did not take long until the source of the tranquility and that which had alerted Lani and Bronk that a Fay-Creature was here…
- A beautiful Dryad emerged, to warn them that she’d been watching the Sea Hag at the lake and saw that the party was honorable in disposing of something that was so vile, cruel and evil. She asks the party what it is that they’re doing on this island, which has not seen the likes of humans, dwarves, elves, halflings, and other such mortals.
- Azula explains that their newly found friend, a Triton named Aelith had mentioned that the Kraken Priests had sought a relic from a ship they used a Kraken to destroy.
- The Dryad warns them, that she is aware of the relic – she knows not what the relic is – but her ability to be in tune with all nature on the island has revealed to her that something of great power has been brought to the island and brought to the Kuo-Toa to manipulate. She warns, whatever it is – their dark ritual has already begun – she feels the sickness in the land itself.
- Silas took flight to see which way would be the quickest route to get across the land. Silas spotted a mountain path that would be shorter, but perhaps harder on the body; or going around the mountain range to the north, while easier would take considerably longer.

Purple path – the shorter route, across the mountain path, but more difficult.
- Realizing the urgency of stopping the ritual, the party agrees to take the mountain path so that they can get there as quickly as possible (since they’re not yet too sure where to find the Kuo-Toa). As they climb over the mountain, each of them made a constitution check, Lani critically failed, gaining two levels of exhaustion. The party considered resting as they came down the other side of the mountain, but decided not to because of the time pressing on them. (Note: I went ahead and let the effects of Exhaustion slide, but wanted to explain that is normally how it works)
- As they reached the bottom of the mountain, Silas took to the air again to scout ahead.
- As he peered across the river in front of them – down below he saw a treasure chest and landed to examine the chest – as he attempted to open the chest he discovered his hands were stuck and the chest suddenly opened its eyes and its massive mouth – he’d just found a mimic!
- He yelled for help as the mimic attacked, and the party rushed in, swinging their weapons at the mimic – and quickly discovering the horrible secret they should have all realized, seeing that Silas’ hands were stuck – their weapons too became stuck. Now they relied on range weapons and magic to destroy the mimic and free their friend, Silas, as well as their weapons. The island was clearly very dangerous.
- Lani and Bronk suddenly felt something again – their Divine Sense warning them something was nearby – but this time, the creature made itself known as it lunged at Trinket – it had been Burlap and he was lunging at her pouch to get his amulet back. Azula was able to leap at Burlap and land on him, bringing all three of them crashing down out of the trees, onto the murky swamp floor. Bronk ran over, and with a single punch, knocked out Burlap. They managed to tie Burlap up, and Trinket went as far as “clipping” the base of his wings to prevent him from flying again.
- Taking flight once more after the mimic battle, in the swamp he saw a humanoid figure and flew down to examine the figure, which seemed to be a humanoid toad like figure.
- He tried to speak to the frog, but the frog being only seemed to croak back at him. Thinking perhaps it might be a custom thing, he bowed to the frog being who stared at him for a moment, then returned the gesture. A moment later, four more bullywugs (the frog people) leaped down from the tree, with net in hand and captured Silas.
- The party, realizing Silas had not returned from his scouting mission began to quickly move, realizing he may be in danger. Trinket and Azula quickly moved to stealthing while the others charged ahead – and the scene they had stumbled upon was an alarming one. A Bullywug King Priest, who was alone to perform a dark ritual of some kind, had Silas tied to a post, and ready to burn him, in front of a massive toad effigy/totem.
- Aram rushed forward to help but managed to find himself in a pit of quicksand instead
- Lani rushed forward to attack the Bullywug King Priest, and managed to strike him several times, but he was still standing, despite her powerful blows
- The distraction had provided Silas enough time to break out of the bonds
- Bronk rushed forward next to engage in combat with the Bullywug King Priest, just as the Bullywug King Priest took two deep cleaves at Lani, rendering her unconscious
- Azula rushed to Lani’s side to stabilize her than use her soothing magic through music to Cure Wounds on her
- Trinket remained in the shadows, firing arrows (and getting Sneak Attack damage)
- After another long battle, the party defeated the Bullywug King Priest, but they had paid for their victory in cuts and bruises
- They realized Aram was still sinking in Quicksand and pulled him free, using rope to get him out – and Azula realized, during the heat of battle, when she’d rushed to Lani’s side to heal her, she’d released the rope – and as she looked around, Burlap was once again gone.

- They made their way to the cave that Silas had spotted while scouting (just prior to falling victim to the Mimic). Inside the cave, Azula cast the spell Dancing Lights and they were able to see that the cavern ceiling was lined with creatures that looked like bats. Aram warned the party that they need to be very quiet – he and his companions had already encountered these beasts in a different cave. (See Session 02)
- Seeing that the swamp flowed into the cave (as the mouth of the cave was lower than the ground level of the swamp), Aram, Bronk, Lani, and Silas decided they could lay in the murky swamp water and move slowly and quietly across the cavern, soaked floor, that was both swamp water and guano from these creatures known as Stirges.
- Azula and Trinket refused to lay in the muck, and relied on their stealth to move past the stirges.
- However, just after passing the Stirges, a voice said, “What’s this I sees? I sees one who wants to return home he does. One who wants to reclaim her throne. One, who was once evil, and now seeks to do good. One who is good, and an enemy of the very one who seeks to do goodness now. One who flies, and sees to find why the energy has shifted, and one who seeks adventure like her own deity once had.”
- Aram looked around the dark cavern and managed to see a creature crawling along the wall.
- After speaking with the creature, which identified itself as a Nothic – it had mentioned it wanted the Kuo-Toa Priest slain, for the Kuo-Toa Priest was pure evil, and did horrible, dark magic. And with the Kuo-Toa Priest slain, the other Kuo-Toa would fight amongst themselves to take the position of the next Priest and this would weaken the Kuo-Toa further. The Nothic agreed to help the party since their goals aligned – but then he mentioned that someone else had entered the cave.
- The party quickly realizes that Burlap has followed them into the cave. The party discusses a plan and Trinket gives Burlap’s necklace to Bronk to try and lure Burlap closer so that the Nothic can read its mind – however as Burlap sees the necklace in Bronk’s hand, he invokes the rune that was placed on Bronk’s palm when he first shook Burlap’s hand, and Bronk fails his Wisdom save and begins walking towards Burlap to return the necklace. He gets close to Burlap but the party manages to stop him, but they’re forced to move towards him and the Nothic refuses to get any closer (because of the vile stirges), and Burlap quickly makes an escape back out of the mouth of the cave, being chased by the Stirges. Bronk seemingly hands the necklace back to Trinket, unaware that Burlap had used magic to reclaim it and create an illusion that Bronk still had it.
- The party realizes they can’t waste anymore time on Burlap and proceed down the cavern – the Nothic to show his sincerity stops the party and shows them (by rolling a stone) – that there are Piercers in the cavern.
- Pierces are creatures that look exactly like stalactites and impossible to decern from normal stalactites. Moving quietly across the cavern, Aram however, makes too much noise, alerting two Piercers to drop down which strike him. Lani attempts to pull one out of his back (and critically fails, damaging Aram further) – before managing to get them both pulled out.
- The party continues to move forward, following the Nothic who cheerfully scoots along the cave walls – when finally the party comes to a 20 foot ledge, over looking the Kuo-Toa ritual. In the center of the room is a massive egg – that the party realizes – is a Silver Dragon egg – for also in this chamber – horrified – is a large Silver Dragon, too fearful to strike at the Kuo-Toa Priest, for fear he would shatter the egg – yet knowing inaction will result in some form of corruption of his own egg.
- The party devises a plan after some debate that Aram will remain on the ledge, and begin yelling to create a distraction; meanwhile Trinket and Bronk will stealth down the ledge and take out the Kuo-Toa Priest, Azula and the Nothic will approach the Silver Dragon so Azula can use Heroism on the Silver Dragon (also because she speaks Draconic), while Silas and Lani take out the other Kuo-Toa.

- With the plan in motion, everyone successfully makes their stealth check to descend from the ledge unnoticed by the Kuo-Toa. Azula and the Nothic make it to the Silver Dragon, and the Nothic, once within range reveals that the Silver Dragon had gotten down here because it could shape change between a humanoid self and a Silver Dragon (its true form). Azula gave the Silver Dragon Heroism which removed his fear of the egg’s destruction and allowed the Silver Dragon to take action.
- At that time, Aram began to yell, firing arrows down at the Priest and other Kuo-Toa, while Bronk and Trinket attacked the main Priest. Lani and Silas quickly attacked the other Kuo-Toa. The shocked Kuo-Toa often struck one another (Critical Fails) – during the battle, Silas falls unconscious – but the Silver Dragon uses magic to revivify to get Silas back in the action.
- Azula tries to use Faire Fire on the Kuo-Toa Priest, but not only does he avoid it, he pulls Bronk into the field instead (Natural 20 on the save, so flavored it for fun – because at this point the Kuo-Toa Priest was almost dead anyway).
- The Kuo-Toa Priest is finally slain, by the combined efforts of the party, and with his demise, the two living Kuo Toa quickly flee, knowing the Silver Dragon will attack them.
- With the Ritual halted the Silver Dragon grabs its egg, uses it’s breath to shatter the cavern ceiling and offers to take the saviors of the dragon egg to the southern side of the island so that the party can return to their ships – and the Silver Dragon, with egg in hand, vanishes in the distant horizon – though, forever remembering those who had helped save his egg.
- Aboard the ship, Trinket realizes that Burlap had used magic to get his necklace back and wondered if they would ever see him again…
And though the session ended here, everyone would have then become Level 2.
