The Silver Lining.

When the Dragons entered the world in the year of 1124, many Dragons – both good and evil, used their powerful magic to take the shape of humans. The Dragons were intensely curious about the humans that now dominated the majority of the world; but in their true forms, the humans often reacted with awe or fear. Disguised as humans, the Dragons were able to move among the humans and learn about these beings that now populated so much of the world. In the process, an unexpected result happened; when male dragons would impregnate a female human, it created a half breed that simply became known as “The Dragonborn.” One of the noblest of the dragons of Good, was the Silver Dragon, and when a young woman gave birth to a Silver Dragonborn, she turned to the Monks of Nez’zen to take the child and raise it properly. The Dragonborn was Dacys. She learned peace and tranquility through the teaching of the Nez’zen. When she was old enough, she became interested in the news of the new lands that been discovered. With the permission of her masters, she took a journey to book passage to the new lands and see if she could bring the peace and wisdom of the Nez’zen Monks to the people of this new land. Along the way to the Moontide Port, Dacys came across two Half-Orcs being ambushed by several Hobgoblin bounty hunters. She rushed to assist them, and together they chased away the Bounty Hunters and continued their travels together to the Moontide Port.

The Origin of Dacys, Dragonborn.

In the Age of Dragons, the world was a very different place, now that the Dragons had re-entered the world. Exiled long, long ago, by means unknown – the Dragons once lived on Kne’Urth when it was ruled by chaos and madness. Now, once again free to roam the world, they see that humans have dominated the land, with smatterings of Elves, Dwarves and Half-Men scattered about; and the darker races that once ruled, now have been sundered into fractured tribes.

A male Silver Dragon by the name of Trelnar (which stands from The Silver Lining in the Draconian tongue) had adopted the form of a human, male Knight in order to understand and observe the humans. In order to fit in, he took a human wife by the name of Jatina and managed to have two normal children (completely human), however, when the third child was born – she was born as a Silver Dragonborn. Trelnar, who had taken up the name of Darus Silvermane (for his silver hair), confessed his secret to his wife. In order to keep his secret, Trelnar, in his Silver Dragon form, took the child that they had named Dacys to the House of Zen’nez, an order of Monks who sought peace and tranquility, and followed the ways of their newest masters, the Silver Dragons.

Dacys was raised among the Monks and learned quickly, the skills they possessed. The House of Zen’nez was always honored when Dacys entered a room, because she symbolized a union between man and Dragon. Dacys eventually sought out her mother, and learned that her mother had passed away of natural causes. Turning her attention to seeking out her father, the Monks of Zen’nez explained that his name was Trelnar, and that he was last known to be heading towards the new continent, in hopes of learning of some new found information about Dragons that had taken up residence there.
