Twirpo – Hill Dwarf Wizard

At a young age, Twirpo knew she was different. While most Hill Dwarves frowned upon magic, Twirpo was fascinated by it. A human wizard by the name of Evalys had caught her eye as he was passing through and trading with her clan members. He had seen her watching him and approached her to ask why she had been staring at him so intently. She explained that she could tell he was a wizard and she was fascinated by magic.

Surprised to see a Hill Dwarf interested in magic, Evalys offered to take her under his wing and teach her. Twirpo’s parents refused, afraid what the clan might think of their family, but Twirpo knew this was her calling. Evalys taught her magic in secrecy, and for Twirpo this made it all the more exciting.

Fortune would not favor Twirpo for long however, when one day, while practicing her magic, her spell misfired and caused a great fire that burned down her family’s home and caused considerable damage. When the fire was investigated and discovered to be magic, her people shunned her. She knew that going behind her people’s back was the wrong thing to do, and now does everything she can to regain their trust. Evalys came calling again, only a few weeks ago, to tell Twirpo about the new continent and the rumors of magical items being discovered. He offered to teach her more if she would go and report back to him anything that she found.
