Morsus grew up in a small community which had little communication with the rest of the world. The entire town was devoted to the worship of Florasena, fanatically so. The heads of the church and community leaders emphasized how Flora was the most powerful god and the only one really worth worshiping. Worship of other gods was considered wrong, and a distraction from the most important god.

They were taught that the outside world was an evil place, which was dark and full of heresy. They had to keep their walls closed and keep the outside world out to protect themselves. Morsus however had different thoughts. It wasn’t enough to hide and do nothing. The people of the rest of the world needed to know of Florasena and her power, and the forces of darkness destroyed.

Against the advice of his peers, Morsus booked passage on the Wave Hammer to spread the love of Florasena, and purge the land of heresy.
