The son of King Saric noted that during the siege of Castle Guardstone, King Saric’s two most trusted allies – a Knight (Yurik) and a Mage (Farun) – had taken him to safety in a small fortress that they had made near Stonepass.

• The party ventured to the fortress and found several dead bodies outside the fortress; inside the fortress, much of it had been over run and now in ruins. Several magical artifacts that once belonged to King Saric were recovered and returned to the King.
• Whether the artifacts had been stolen before the siege or had been taken there during the siege for safety, remains unknown.
• A journal found, written by Yurik, speaks about concerns of Farun’s sanity, as he seems to be obsessed, overly so with magic. Another journal found talks about Yurik following Farun into The Golden Sea.
